Trustonic, the leading provider of Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) for smart connected devices, today announced the launch of the ‹t™-dev Partner Program, to facilitate and mobilize a community of Trusted Application developers. ‹t-dev partners can enhance the security and enrich the experience of Android based applications on devices equipped with the company’s ‹t™-base TEE.
The ‹t-dev Developer Program launches with a strong ecosystem of tier-1 service partners from a wide range of verticals including mobile financial services, loyalty, integrated marketing, and premium content, to BYOD, identity and enterprise. ARRIS, Discretix, Elliptic, ExactTrak, Good Technology, INSIDE Secure, Intercede, Proxama, SK Telecom, Validity, Verimatrix and Viaccess-Orca are all developing and preparing applications to deploy on devices that have integrated a Trustonic ‹t-base Trusted Execution Environment.
“We’re delighted to convert significant interest to engagement with Trustonic TEE technology and the rapid growth of our developer ecosystem,” said Ben Cade, CEO of Trustonic. “Our first Trustonic ‹t-base product launched earlier this year with Samsung’s flagship devices and there are more ‹t-base enabled devices coming to market before the end of the year. As more devices make it into the hands of users, the ‹t-dev Developer Program will accelerate the creation of new applications and services that bring better user experiences on smart connected devices with higher levels of trust”.
The ‹t-dev Developer Program equips partners with the knowledge, tools, training and support to create secure services on ‹t-base enabled smart connected devices. It accelerates development and market deployment of applications that improve user experiences and enhance service offerings; benefits that can be applied across many vertical markets. Included in the program is the ‹t™-sdk (Software Developer Kit) which provides access to APIs that encompass secure storage, content protection, secure user input, secure display, and access to other platform security resources. Platform emulation tools facilitate quick start developments and a fully featured environment advances development against real hardware to cover the full development lifecycle to commercial deployment. In addition partners gain access to Trustonic test servers to remotely deploy, test and validate applications provisioned to commercial devices with integrated t-base technology. This scalable program is simple and straightforward for any developer, however basic or advanced their use cases.
Application developers can sign up to the ‹t-dev Partner Program by registering their interest through the Trustonic partner portal http://www.trustonic.com/products-services/developer-program.
The ‹t-base products provide a trusted foundation for smart connected devices: a hardware-backed security environment that ensures sensitive data is stored, processed and protected. They feature a built-in remote provisioning capability for the Trustonic ecosystem, allowing the remote deployment of trusted applications into ‹t-base-enabled devices. The ‹t-base products allow secure access to information and data on the smart device, isolated from the rich mobile OS. Users can now transact with trust on their smart connected devices – be it at work, mobile banking and payment, or entertainment and premium content services.

About Trustonic
Trust. It’s a simple word but a critical concept – especially when it comes to our connected lives... Without trust, the world is a more difficult place; when we can’t trust it’s harder to work, socialize, shop and even enjoy the entertainment we love. Bolt-on security causes friction and slows down our mobile lives, but with integral trust, we speed freely on our way to doing some pretty amazing things.
Trustonic integrates a new level of security directly into the connected devices closest to us. By securing trust directly into the devices through which we access our connected world, Trustonic is simplifying everything from mobile shopping to entertainment to collaborating with colleagues. That foundation of trust means it’s even easier to do more of the things that make us who we are.
That’s why companies like 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, ARRIS, Broadcom, Cisco, Discretix, Elliptic, ExactTrak, Good Technology, INSIDE Secure, Intercede, Irdeto, MasterCard, MediaTek, NVIDIA, Proxama, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics, SK Telecom, Symantec, Texas Instruments, Validity, Verimatrix, Viacess-Orca and Wave Systems count on Trustonic to protect and unleash a wide variety of powerful, personalised services on your devices.
Trustonic is a privately held company, between three shareholders: ARM, Gemalto and Giesecke & Devrient (G&D). To learn more about Trustonic and how it’s making your connected world a better place visit us at www.trustonic.com
