This 7th annual event will deal with current examples of smart grids projects around the world and will focus on what lies ahead, covering innovations that will smooth the way towards energy storage at large scale and distributed and for smart grids of various types.

Featured Keynote Talk Synopsis

Smart Grid flexibility created with IoT  - Professor Jerker Delsing, Sweden (Arrowhead Co-ordinator)

The prevailing paradigm of power distribution has been a single producer and many consumers. Information about production status & consumption need is not being exchanged. The new paradigm has a diversity of producers connected to a diversity of consumers where the capacity to exchange information on energy offerings and consumption needs in real time.

The Arrowhead project is exploring information service technologies enabling the establishment of real time market place enabling optimisation of energy usage. Underlaying principles and enabling technologies will be presented. Potential impact on energy savings will be discussed.
