A flexible platform that enables operations teams to create, optimise and perform all required field inspections and surveys digitally, myWorld Inspection & Survey is being used by Unitil field workers to conduct driving surveys using Windows 7 laptops. Automatic GPS logging has replaced the old, paper-based processes and is providing a simple, clear audit trail allowing field teams to see which areas have been surveyed. Providing asset data digitally to users in the field has also increased accuracy, enabling them to identify the exact location of facilities.
The solution also has many benefits for Unitil’s supervisors, enabling them to easily generate reports of current and historic activity, including print maps where required. myWorld Inspection & Survey offers a broad range of options to setup new surveys and permits users to accurately track progress of activities, ensuring they remain on schedule throughout the year. The Ubisense solution also supports walking surveys and inspections such as critical valve, meter and atmospheric corrosion.
