Anglia Ruskin University opens its doors to children and families
Youngsters aged between 6 and 16 and their families are invited to Anglia Ruskin campuses in Chelmsford and Cambridge to take part in the second annual interactive event. They will have the opportunity to take part in fun-packed activities and workshops, tour state-of-the-art facilities and meet expert academic staff.
Among the activities include Tyrannosaurus Drip (Cambridge only), an arts and crafts workshop exploring the world of a sad dinosaur; Assist the Surgeon, where you can dress up in a theatre gown and mask, practise CPR and take charge of surgical instruments; and Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse: how doing your homework can save your life.
There will also be helpful advice on how to budget, sporting activities like Cardio Tennis and Rush Hockey and even a chance to code your own app.
Rachael Cole, Outreach and Recruitment Officer for Anglia Ruskin University, said: “We enjoyed two fabulous days last year and as a result we have even more on offer for this year’s UniFest event.
“UniFest will provide an inspiring day out for young people and their families and also gives them a rare opportunity to see the state-of-the-art facilities we offer in Cambridge and Chelmsford. Whatever your passion, you will find something you will enjoy.”
UniFest will be taking place at Anglia Ruskin’s Cambridge campus, in East Road, on Saturday, 7 March and at the Chelmsford campus in Bishop’s Hall Lane on Saturday, 21 March between 10am and 3pm.
All activities are free of charge. To book, or for more details on what activities are taking place and when, visit www.anglia.ac.uk/unifest15
