Unique musical event this Saturday at Cambridge Corn Exchange

Cambridge Corn Exchange hosts a unique musical event this Saturday (June 16th) when Dowsing for Sound - a Cambridge musical collective comprising 60 voices and a 'fearless' house band including timpani, jazz trumpet and fusion fiddle - lines up for a concert in aid of two charities.

The event, Liquid State, promises to deliver an exhilarating mix of original choral covers, from Canadian introspection to divine funk, Scottish mouth music to indie triumphs, and Scandinavian soundscapes to soaring club anthems.

Led by former Trinity choral scholar Andrea Cockerton**, an independent venture market consultant whose day job is running Mudhut Communication, the group also includes a diverse collection of local business people and professionals, many of whom are Cambridge Network members.

Dowsing for Sound's first gig in 2011 attracted an audience of more than 600 and merited two standing ovations.   Come and see what the fuss is all about!

Dowsing is proud to be supporting two charities through the event - Blue Smile, which provides counselling and therapeutic support in schools around Cambridgeshire to help vulnerable children fulfil their true potential and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which carries out vital work into researching and understanding one of the UK's most common, life-threatening, inherited diseases.

**Listen to an interview with Andrea  and Dowser Gloria Alexander on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire yesterday (11 June; ~ 20 minutes in)
