US2U Consulting bowled over with new sponsorship board

US2U Consulting bowled over with new sponsorship board

As part of our 2021 Sustainability Policy, we recognise the importance of contributing to our local economy and its communities - ensuring we create a positive impact through both the work we do and what we give back. We were excited to get out and about for our latest community involvement, and to see our new sponsorship board revealed at local Norfolk cricket club Horsford CC, just outside Norwich, ahead of what should be a great season of sport in the UK, with crowds returning to local cricket and sports grounds.

This is the first time we have had a sponsorship board at a sports ground - we are breaking new boundaries - having sponsored the safety curtain at the Theatre Royal in Norwich a few year ago. After we heard the cricket club appealing for new sponsors, we were all over it.

Horsford Cricket Club is also the home ground of Norfolk CCC who play teams across the UK to crowds of several hundred spectators. We hope to catch people's eye with our new signage this summer! "We are delighted to have a sponsor on board with such positive energy!" said Horsford CC.

If you want to swing by to see our new sponsorship board, the address is Horsford Cricket Club, Manor Park, Holt Road, Norwich, Norfolk NR10 3AQ. Visit their website for a list of the upcoming fixtures. Give it a spin!

Engage, Engage, Engage

At a time when the economy is recovering, one of the challenges facing organisations across most sectors is to retain talented, enthusiastic, skilled staff. Our five top tips regarding how to retain your people are:

1. Recruit the right people. Focus on the three key elements at the recruitment stage:
• Can they do the job? • Will they do the job? • Will they fit into the culture and values?
2. Make sure that your people feel that you are providing the 12 conditions for them to be fully engaged - read these here
3. Have proper, regular, structured 1:1 meetings with two-way feedback, clear goals, focus on training and development and career progression if applicable
4. Invest time and effort getting your organisational culture right so everyone demonstrates the values, every day; include diversity & inclusion
5. Learn from proper exit interview feedback - share the learning points with the senior leadership team and incorporate them into the continuous improvement strategy

What people challenges are you facing as we move back to face-to-face working? We'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
