V day arrives in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

Pioneering Covid-19 vaccinations are happening in the UK today. And the first Cambridgeshire and Peterborough residents will soon be getting their jabs to protect against the virus too.

Healthwatch writes:

Local hospitals Addenbrooke's and Peterborough City Hospital are going to be vaccinating the most at-risk groups first, including over-80s, health and social care workers.

As the independent champions for health and social care in the area,  Healthwatch is working closely with the local NHS as it prepares to roll out the Covid-19 vaccination programme across our area. And helping them make sure they get their messages right for local people.
