Research shows that gender diverse teams outperform homogenous ones, demonstrating superior team dynamics and productivity, as well as improved financial performance. Yet women are still under-represented on boards and in leadership teams.

Bailey Fisher Executive Search and Women 4 Technology are collaborating with Professor Barbara Sahakian of the University of Cambridge on a unique research project focusing on experienced female founders and those in C-suite roles, with the aim of understanding which factors enable women to become successful business leaders.

The project will analyse a broad range of factors such as cognitive flexibility, risk tolerance, impulsivity, demographics, role models and work flexibility, amongst others.

It is hoped that the findings may suggest ways to help women develop into leadership roles.

The research focuses on women who are already successful in business, targeting serial/ experienced female founders and leadership team with a track record in business.  The survey has attracted a very positive response from across the UK, but Bailey Fisher Executive Search would be interested to hear from a few further female founders or business leaders interested in being involved.  The research is conducted via an online survey, taking around 10 minutes to complete. Involvement is anonymous.  The survey is open until the end of April.
