WaveFX films Cambridge Africa event at St John's College

The Cambridge-Africa Day 2015 took place in October at St John’s College in Cambridge. This event showcased the wide range of mutually beneficial collaborative research projects, capacity building initiatives and development activities by Cambridge academics and students in partnership with African colleagues.

Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz's message to the Cambridge-Africa partnership was to “please grow arts and humanities”: The Vice-Chancellor urged universities to offer a range of subjects and not to forget the “brilliant” cultural contributions of subjects outside of the natural sciences, technology, engineering and maths.

WaveFX, a local video production company, was commissioned by Cambridge Africa to film the day-long event and edit the presentations.

Adrian Taplin WaveFX: “To keep costs down and provide a professional service more in keeping with a TV production, we actually edit live on-site, mixing two cameras and any PowerPoint into a video the client can upload the very same day”
