BuzzFeed, ASOS, Jamie Oliver Ltd, Jagex join Sookio Masterclass panel

The second Sookio Masterclass takes place in Cambridge next Tuesday (29th July 2014), a free event offering straight-talking social media advice from major brands BuzzFeed, ASOS, Jamie Oliver and Jagex.

The Sookio Masterclass series launched in April, and saw Grazia, Age UK, the University of Cambridge and Miss Sue Flay sharing tips on how to talk on social media.

July’s event will focus on using images and video, ideal for anyone with an interest in using social media more effectively.

Host Sue Keogh says: "It's important not to underestimate the power of image and video in social media. The beauty of it is that you don’t need a big budget – nowadays with Vine or Instagram it's easy to create shareable content very quickly. It's the quality of the idea that shines through."

On the panel:

Subi Gnanaseharam, Social Media guru for Jamie Oliver Ltd, talking about how she uses social platforms to grow the online presence for the TV chef and serial entrepreneur

Cate Sevilla, Homepage Editor for BuzzFeed will be talking about the impact of visual content and her experience with one of the internet’s biggest viral content sites.

Neil McClarty, Marketing Director at Jagex will talk about how social media uses visual impact to promote one of the world’s largest online games, Runescape.

Hannah Craik, Social Media Head at ASOS, discussing the major fashion brand’s approach to social media and how they use image and video so effectively.

Sue Keogh, Director of Sookio will be leading the discussions again. Sue has produced social media content and campaigns for the BBC, ITV, AOL, Yahoo!, Toshiba and Magic FM.

Discount on training: Anyone attending the Masterclass will get a discount on our one-day social media training course taking place in Cambridge on 5th September.
