Headway Cambridgeshire Launches New Appeal

Brain injury charity, Headway Cambridgeshire, has launched a new fundraising appeal to secure the future of the charity.

‘A Home for Headway’ Appeal Launch

Headway Cambridgeshire launched their ‘A Home for Headway’ Appeal to raise £2.5m to support its service and for a new, purpose-built rehabilitation centre with a Champagne Reception at King’s College Cambridge.

At the event Professor John Pickard, Director of the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, spoke of the importance of continuing rehabilitation in the community following brain injury. As a Patron of Headway Cambridgeshire he endorsed the Appeal and said that the charity plays a vital role providing slow-stream rehabilitation for brain injured survivors. He also praised the support given to families and carers by the Community Team at Headway Cambridgeshire.

He urged sponsors and interested parties to offer their support to help Headway to reach their target which will secure the future of the delivery of their services.
