PATEO head units will be manufactured to include RealVNC’s MirrorLink certified solution, VNC Automotive, to enable connectivity with all certified handsets. By implementing RealVNC’s technology, PATEO is able to offer products quickly, minimizing development and test time and providing state of the art MirrorLink compliant products to market. PATEO is leading the in-car infotainment revolution in China, creating flexibility and deep integration of the car head unit. This year alone, it has launched a 3rd generation product and also developed some key new partnerships.
VNC Automotive allows safe and secure access and control of a mobile device from a vehicle head unit or infotainment system. This gives drivers access to all their smartphone content, such as navigation applications, music libraries and internet radio stations, whilst on the move. The mobile device can be directly controlled from the infotainment system touch screen, vehicle bezel keys, steering wheel switches and by voice command, ensuring all content can be accessed safely.
