RealVNC releases VNC in German, French and Spanish

VNC 5.2 now supports a localised user-interface which can be customized to different languages.

RealVNC, the original developer and provider of VNC® remote access and control software, has announced a new release of its core shrink-wrapped product, VNC 5.2. In this release the software has been translated into German, French and Spanish to provide greater support to the growing user base in these areas.

VNC enables users to remotely access their computers, wherever they are in the world. It works by replicating the screen in real-time, so a connected user can see the desktop and control it as though sitting down in front of that computer. Users can license VNC for Free, or take a trial of premium Personal or Enterprise features such as end-to-end encryption, multiple authentication schemes, file transfer, printing, and chat. RealVNC can also provide a commercial license to embed VNC remote access technology in third-party products and offerings, the only organization able to do so.

“The latest update makes VNC more accessible than ever before,” said Dr Andy Harter, CEO at RealVNC. “VNC is already hugely popular worldwide, but providing a localized user-interface experience can only increase its usefulness and reach. Further languages will follow.”

Existing users are encouraged to keep their VNC software up-to date and upgrade their current software to VNC 5.2. Those who are new to VNC can take a free trial of VNC with an Enterprise or Personal license. Visit the download page to start a free trial now.
