The company will deploy Amino's Live Advanced Media Centre and A140 devices as part of a triple-play offering including broadband Internet access 100 times faster than national averages, telephone and digital HD television services targeting customers in several Mississippi cities and towns.
This will be the latest deployment of the Live platform and was secured with one of Amino's North American distributors, AMT.
Powered by the Intel® dual core ATOM™ processor, the Live is Amino's latest generation home media hub for multiscreen and multi-stream delivery around the home. Catch-up TV services, video on demand, social and user-generated content are all handled seamlessly by the device - which offers ten times the processing power of a standard IP set-top box.
In addition to PVR and Wi-Fi capability, the Live Advanced Media Platform can also record up to seven channels and then play out content securely over the home network.
Offering network speeds of up to 1 Gbps, C Spire has deployed fibre optic infrastructure in several major towns and cities across Mississippi with more to follow as communities work to pre-register homeowners for the suite of services. Local government, community and business leaders have been rallying residents to sign up to ensure their areas are amongst the first to qualify for these advanced services.
