Home-Start Cambridgeshire launch

Woodfines supports launch of Home-Start Cambridge at July Summer Concert.

The Summer Concert celebrating the launch of Home-Start Cambridgeshire was a tremendous success and attracted a full house at Jesus College Cambridge on a beautiful summer’s evening.

Helen Buckie (violin), Anil Umer (cello) and Nigel Yandell (piano) performed a varied programme of Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Ravel and Smetana, thrilling the audience with their technical skill and beautiful playing. Drinks in the interval in the beautiful Jesus College Cloister, generously underwritten by Woodfines LLP Solicitors, added to the ambiance. And just before the interval,  three Home-Start parents, who had been supported and helped by  home-visiting volunteers,  told their own moving stories of how much they had gained from the support.

Home-Start raised over £2,700, which will help them continue their work supporting families across the county of Cambridgeshire.
