The VNC Automotive SDK enables smartphone to vehicle connectivity leveraging the MirrorLink™ technology. The project will open up broad opportunities for extending existing IVI products through integration with Tizen IVI, a GENIVI compliant platform which is also the reference implementation adopted by the Automotive Grade Linux project.
The demo was shown at the recent Tizen Development Summit in Shanghai (https://www.tizen.org/events/tizen-developer-summit/shanghai-2014) and will also be seen at the RealVNC User Group event in Shanghai on November 17, 2014.
RealVNC has successfully ported its MirrorLink Certified VNC Automotive SDK onto Tizen IVI, expanding the range of platforms the solution supports. VNC Automotive allows safe and secure access and control of a mobile device from a vehicle head unit or infotainment system.
