Find out everything you wanted to know about 3D printing

You've probably heard people announce how 3D printing is going to change the world and how you can print 'anything' using a 3D printer. But what is the reality?

You could spend days reading online blogs, reviews and press releases, or you could come along to Cambridge Centre for Computing History's open evening next week and see for yourself 3D printing in action.

The Centre says: "Local company, Mega Electronics has kindly donated a 3D printer for general display at the museum and we have teamed up with them to hold an event where YOU can witness at first hand what 3D printing is all about.

"We'll have our Da Vinci 1.0 printer in action and Mega Electronics will be bringing the new Da Vinci 1.0S AiO 3D Scanner and Printer which will scan a real object and then print it in 3D!!!

"3D Printers are now pitched at the same price range as good games consoles, so real 3D creativity is now possible in your own home. Could this be the perfect Christmas present solution for the techy who has everything?

"We'll be open on Wednesday 3rd December from 5pm to 7pm with our 3D printers working for you to experience first hand. Come and speak to the experts from Mega and draw your own conclusions about 3D printing and their future ...

"This is a FREE event sponsored by Mega Electronics."
