MP Julian Huppert shares social media insights at Sookio Masterclass Election special

The fourth Sookio Masterclass takes place in Cambridge on 26th March 2015, a free event offering straight-talking social media advice with guests so far including the Liberal Democrat MP for Cambridge, Julian Huppert and The Independent's technology columnist, Rhodri Marsden.

Launched in April 2014, featuring panel guests from Age UK, Buzzfeed, Grazia, Jamie Oliver and the University of Cambridge, these sellout Sookio Masterclass events focus on giving business owners straight-talking advice on social media.

“This promises to be our most lively and controversial Sookio Masterclass so far,” says host Sue Keogh. “We’ll look at how politicians, the news media and campaigning organisations use social media to get their message across. As Election fever hots up, who knows what gaffes will come up on the night!”

On the panel:

  • Julian Huppert, Liberal Democrat MP for Cambridge. Recently named as one of the top three MPs on Twitter, Julian will have insights to share on the ways in which politicians should – and shouldn’t! – use social media.
  • Rhodri Marsden, The Independent. Technology columnist for one of the UK’s most widely circulated papers, Rhodri has no shortage of social media expertise under his belt.
  • Sue Keogh, Director of Sookio will be leading the discussions again. Formerly on the homepage teams for Yahoo! and AOL covering the latest breaking news, she has also worked closely with the BBC, ITV and GOV.UK.

When and where?

6pm to 9pm, 26th March 2015 at The Cambridge Brew House 1 King Street, Cambridge CB1 1LH.
