A week in the life of WaveFX: Prince Charles, several hernias and a magic lion

This week was a little nuts for local video company WaveFX, with two crews on the road, covering over 900 miles across three cities...

For the fifth year, the team filmed HRH Prince Charles at the BITC Business in the Community event hosted at the Round House London.  It also covered the 1st International Controversies in Hernia Surgery Conference outside Colchester and finally the 63rd Magic Festival in Blackpool.

Adrian Taplin of WaveFX commented “The four day magic festival is something completely different and a highlight in our calendar.Over four nights we film, vision mix and project a two-hour magic show live from the opera house at the Winter Gardens Blackpool. Each night is a different set of acts which we rehearse camera angles with during the day. I’ve seen over a 100 acts and still haven’t a clue how they do it!”

Peter Harmer, videographer at the BITC event , said:“The round house is a great venue and a superb backdrop to the BITC event. We live vision mixed four cameras and then immediately edited and uploaded the videos for social media and PR use. Long manic day, fast edits and a lot of coffee. Actually Oggi the second videographer seems to have started drinking green tea.”
