Woodfines wins in five categories of the Lex 100 Online Survey

Woodfines, the highly respected law firm based in Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire, has been selected as a top firm in five categories of this year’s Lex 100 Online Survey.

The categories Woodfines were selected in are ‘Job Satisfaction’, ‘Client Contact’, ‘Stress Levels’, ‘Work/Life Balance’ and ‘Friendliness’.

The Lex 100 surveys over 3,500 trainee solicitors and newly qualified lawyers in the UK to get their views on the firms they are working for. 230 firms agreed to take part in the 2014/15 survey and the top 20 average scores in each category were named as top firm’s in that category by the Lex 100.

John Egan, who runs the trainee programme at Woodfines, said: "We are delighted to have been named as a top firm in five categories in this year’s survey. This is a great honour for the firm and individuals who provide trainees the best possible start to their legal careers and it’s a privilege to be recognised within the legal profession."

John continued: "Woodfines offers 3 training contracts a year. We provide a comprehensive induction programme and allocate mentors who stay with the trainees throughout their contract. Generally the training contract comprises four 'seats', with each one lasting six months. Our overall aim is to give our trainees a good balance of client contact and mentoring which they don’t experience elsewhere so that they develop the required skills before they qualify. Ultimately our aim is to train solicitors to a high quality such that we will then want to keep them post qualification and they will want to stay with us."

Woodfines welcomes applications from bright, enthusiastic and committed individuals. To apply for a training contract, please visit the website http://www.woodfines.co.uk/training-contracts
