Cambridge Airport wants to know about your business travel needs

30-03-2011

Cambridge Airport is seeking input from Cambridge Network members to find out more about their business travel needs, with a view to expanding its offering for business users.

In a letter to Network members, Robert Marshall, Chief Operating Officer, Marshall Group of Companies, says: "I am sure you will have seen the numerous mentions in the press recently about our plans for growth at Cambridge Airport. I am really keen to see the Airport become a facility available to the people and businesses of Cambridge and its environs.

"We have been in exploratory discussions with several airline operators with a view to operating commuter services from Cambridge to key destinations - based on data we have received from the Civil Aviation Authority and EuroControl.  However, we would find information about your travel needs and wishes invaluable to help us target the correct routes and attract airlines."

Current data shows Dublin, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Dusseldorf would seem to be the key destinations currently flown by business passengers in the Cambridge area.  But the company wants to confirm those findings with data from local businesses and potential users.

It has produced a short confidential questionnaire (which can be downloaded below, together with the letter from Robert Marshall) and has also offered to send a team from the airport to interview personnel responsible for corporate travel arrangements in Network organisations, if desired.
