Team Møller Centre cycles from Copenhagen to Cambridge

As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for The Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Centre for Continuing Education, a group of Møller Centre staff will be cycling from Copenhagen, Denmark on Friday 1st June 2012, arriving at The Møller Centre in Cambridge ten days later.

The team have chosen to start in Copenhagen as this is where the A.P. Møller-Maersk Group headquarters is located and is also where the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation is based. It donated the money to Churchill College for the establishment of The Møller Centre.

The trip is approximately 700 miles long and will take the cycling team through Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, and across the North Sea to the UK. The team - consisting of Mark Carberry, Stefan Mitham, Mark Campbell and Michael Herriott - aim to raise £10k for EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices), but can only do this with support from the public.

“Raising money for EACH is a great way of The Møller Centre saying thank you to our clients and the community in supporting us over the past 20 years to build the business we have today. Being able to include our Danish colleagues from the A.P Møller-Maersk Group in with this event helps us to celebrate our 20th anniversary, as well as giving something back to our local community. Being a passionate cyclist I cannot wait for the challenge ahead throughout Northern Europe,” comments Stefan Mitham, Key Account Manager at The Møller Centre.

You can help The Møller Centre team by making a donation on its just giving page www.justgiving.com/dk2uk or donate an item or experience to the evening charity auction being held at The Møller Centre on Monday 14th May 2012.

Please do get in touch if you can help.
