PA Consulting outlines new approach to diabetes and its treatment


PA Consulting Group's Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare, Nick Hughes, will outline a more comprehensive approach to evaluating diabetes, its existing treatments and emerging interventions in a talk at Vision Gain's 4th Annual Diabetes Conference at 10.20 on Tuesday 19 February 2008 in the BDG Conference Centre in London.

Nick will focus on 'The use of system dynamic modelling in understanding the intervention opportunities in diabetes and its associated comorbidities' leveraging insights derived from connecting clinical information across diseases with intervention technologies to improve patient outcomes. The talk will be of most interest to strategic planning directors, commercial strategists, product development 'decision-makers', business development functions and alliance managers.

Nick has headed up three different groups within PA in the last 20 years. Past assignments include multiple strategy and implementation programs for leading global pharmaceutical companie as well as other drug and biomedical product manufacturers. He currently leads PA's cross-practice team that integrates a wide range of capabilities to transform health care.
