Acteon supports Diamond diversity monitoring for the UK TV industry

Acteon is delighted to be working with the Creative Diversity Network to develop blended learning in support of the new Diamond diversity monitoring initiative for the UK TV industry.

Backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, Diamond is a key part of the UK broadcasters’ drive to ensure that the TV industry accurately reflects the diversity of the UK population. Acteon are working in partnership with specialists the Indie Training Fund to deliver a suite of learning that will include nationwide workshops, e-learning and performance support.

“It’s great to be working on this exciting, industry-wide initiative,” says Acteon Managing Partner Owen Rose (pictured). “This is an opportunity for us to build on the success of the in-house diversity training we have created for Channel 4, and we’re looking forward to harnessing the specialist expertise of the Indie Training Fund into the materials we create. Diamond is a new way of doing things for UK TV production companies, and so building awareness and engagement among learners will be crucial.”

The Diamond monitoring system goes live in Autumn of 2015, accompanied by a national roll-out of the learning and support materials.
