What's been going on at 1plex - summer 2015

Autumn already! 1plex says: We have been so busy over the past few months that summer has gone by in a bit of a blur. So what have we been up to over the past few months? Globe trotting on lovely holidays? Well globe trotting yes, but all work related!! Here’s a round up of our summer activities…

New Partnerships

Anywhere 365

We are very happy to announce that we are now a Workstream People partner, offering Anywhere 365 Unified Contact Centre.

Anywhere 365 is an established enterprise communications and dialogue management platform for Skype for Business and Lync. Its primary focus is on enabling efficient and productive dialogues to take place while at the same time providing powerful, actionable business intelligence capabilities to extract previously hidden dialogue patterns.

This is a very exciting opportunity for us, and feedback that we have had from client demos has been very positive indeed. We have been working with several organisations to review their call centre applications and Anywhere 365 is certainly making a very big impression.

Pure-IP

We are very happy to announce that we have also partnered with Pure-IP.

Pure-IP are focused on providing high quality voice solutions over IP networks. They are a certified partner of many leading voice applications with particular specialisation in Skype for Business SIP trunks. This new partnership enables us to provide SIP trunks into customers, giving them significant cost savings and simplification/centralisation of telephony services.

Skype for Business

With its launch earlier this year, we have been busy reskilling and training in Skype for Business. This also involved a trip to the Microsoft Ignite event in Chicago.

We have been preparing and upgrading existing Lync customers to take advantage of the new Skype for Business features. This included a 12,000 user migration from Lync 2013 to Skype for Business, with a mix of in place upgrades and side by side migration strategies.

We have also deployed Skype for Business for a regional firm of solicitors, and a Cambridge consultancy firm which included an Office 365 rollout.

Office 365

Over the summer break we ran a migration project for a local sixth form college to move their email to Office 365. This included configuration of Office 365 email with on-prem Lync Enterprise voice deployment.

Global Activity

Further afield, we have been busy in Germany (approx. 1000 users), Istanbul (approx. 100 users),  and Sau Paulo (approx. 100 users),  with a legacy PBX replacement project, rollout of Lync Enterprise voice, deployment of Audiocodes mediant gateways, including high adoption of headsets and implementation of Anywhere 365 for Attendant Solution and Unified Contact Centre.

Another project in France has included a rollout of Lync for 250 users to replace legacy Cisco PBX, including a mix of Jabra headsets and Polycom VVX Phones, and implementation of Anywhere365 for attendant solution.

Skype Broadcast

We have been asked to perform and evaluate Skype Broadcast for a client that currently has a dedicated Lync 2013 pool for large meetings and regularly hosts internal meetings of 500-800 participants.

Meeting Room Solutions

And if that wasn’t enough, we have also been designing and implementing a range of meeting room solutions based on Vaddio, Smart, Crestron and Phoenix Audio technologies.

Coming Months…

Plans for the next few months will be keep busy with the completion of the 12,000 user migration to Skype for Business server, a Skype for Business server deployment in the US to include paired pool with PSTN connectivity for conferencing, as well as Lync enterprise voice rollouts in China & Spain.
