HM Lord-Lieutenant of Essex presents Contamac with Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation

Lord Petre, Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, presented Contamac with the formal Grant of Appointment of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016: Innovation, during a ceremony held at the company’s head office in Saffron Walden.

 

The Award was accepted by Philipp Polonyi, Sales & Marketing Director and guests at the event were Lorna Rolfe, High Sherriff of Essex, Jonathan Douglas-Hughes OBE DL, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Essex, Councillor John Aldridge, Chairman Essex County Council, Councillor Howard Rolfe, Leader of Uttlesford District Council, Alan Pain, Regional Director, UKTI, Martin Senior, International Trade Advisor, East of England UKTI, along with many friends and supporters of Contamac.
 
Contamac’s Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016: Innovation, follows the Award received in 2012 for International Trade.   John McGregor, Chairman and Founder of Contamac said:  “It gave the company great pleasure to receive the first Award in 2012, the year of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and our second in the year of her Majesty’s 90th birthday”. 
 
During the award ceremony, John highlighted how proud Contamac is to receive the Award and be presented with it by Lord Petre, representative of the Queen.  He thanked all the Contamac staff, as the award is the result of dedication and hard work by every single member of the team.
 
Simon Wyatt, Director Surgical Division and Philipp Polonyi, Sales and Marketing Director, were proud representatives of Contamac at a Buckingham Palace reception in July, hosted by Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh, for winners of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
 
Philipp Polonyi  (pictured receiving the award) commented after the reception: “Being invited to Buckingham Palace and meeting Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family, was a unique and memorable experience. We were very proud to represent Contamac on such an important event in the history of the company.”
