East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) is appealing for volunteers to help with bucket collections throughout this busy time. Collectors are needed across East Anglia to give a few hours of their time to collect money at local supermarkets and events in the region.

Hannah Diaper, EACH Volunteer Development Manager, said: “We’re always overwhelmed by people’s generosity, particularly around Christmas. We’re desperately in need of extra helping hands to help us to fulfil all of the collections we are offered at the busy time of year.

“We have collections throughout the region at locations such as pantos, supermarkets and much more, so any time you could offer would be so gratefully received. Even by committing to just one collection over the festive season would be a huge help as by collecting for EACH you’ll be raising much needed money to provide vital care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and support for their families.”

Volunteers of all ages, over 16 years, are welcome and fully briefed before you’re sent out on any collections.

EACH supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. The charity has three hospices - in Milton (Cambridge), Quidenham (Norfolk) and The Treehouse (Ipswich).  More than half of the care and support EACH provides is delivered in the family home and community, in surroundings familiar and comfortable for the family.
