Fourteen prizes - including everything from pressure washers to chocolate treats, family photo portraits to a lunchtime food tour - were allocated to lucky winners, as the Hospice's fundraising team met with other teams around the new building.

Tickets were drawn by visitors and catering staff in the Bistro; an occupational therapist working in Day Therapy; the IT Manager as he was passing the Bradbury Wellness Centre; a Health Care Assistant and a Registered Nurse on the Inpatient Unit; the HR and Voluntary Services teams; an administrator in the Community Hub; a Database and Donor Care Officers; and CEO Dr Lynn Morgan, who picked out the top prize winner.

The winner of the star prize of dinner, bed and breakfast for two with a spa package, very kindly donated by Quy Mill Hotel and Spa, was from Histon. Second prize of a Samsung 22" LCD TV with Blu-Ray DVD player (generously donated by ValeCraft Audio Visual Ltd) was won by a resident of Cambridge and the third prize of a Sealey's Pressure Washer (thanks to Elliotts, in Bar Hill) went to a gentleman who lives in Soham.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity would also like to thank Cambs Cuisine (£100 voucher for their newest restaurant; Mill Works), The Cambridge Food Tour (lunchtime voucher for two) and Cheryl Hancock (Avon Hamper) for their contributions and of course each person who bought raffle tickets for the December draw.

At last count (Wednesday 14 December, 6pm) more than £12,000 had been raised, which will be directed towards the £2 million that the Charity is required to raise each year in order to supplement the NHS contribution and continue funding the additional services provided by the Hospice. A final grand total will be announced in due course once funds have been finally collated and verified.
