WYNG Gardens provides high quality, attractive and contemporary conference facilities for up to 100 delegates as well as en-suite double bedrooms and is conveniently located in the centre of Cambridge on Thompson’s Lane.  This flexible conferencing space includes an inbuilt audio visual system and is ideal for residential conferences, board meetings, video conferencing, workshops and presentations.

In addition to its prime central location and outstanding conference facilities, WYNG Gardens includes a modern and extensive reception and adjoining networking area which is ideal for exhibitions, displays and as an informal break-out space. The networking area overlooks a large walled garden which is set to become a unique feature of this exciting new conference and events venue.

The garden, currently in the early stages of growth, includes a diverse range of seasonal planting as well as climbing roses and hydrangeas and will develop over the coming months to create an urban oasis.  As well as offering an additional breakout area, the garden will be an ideal space in which to host barbeques, buffets and drinks receptions in the summer months.

Glen Sharp, Junior Bursar at Trinity Hall, said: “WYNG Gardens is an asset to Trinity Hall. This flexible conferencing space combines innovative interiors and lighting to create a positive, vibrant and uplifting environment for learning and development. Working closely with our architects, we have given a great deal of consideration to the design of WYNG Gardens to ensure it remains sensitive to the nature of the buildings in and around Thompson’s Lane.”

Fiona Simon, Head of Conference and Catering Services at Trinity Hall, said: “At a time when Cambridge is proving more popular than ever as a destination for conferences and events, we are thrilled to be opening WYNG Gardens to visitors from around the world.  In addition to the outstanding new facilities at WYNG Gardens, visitors can also enjoy our historic rooms and riverside grounds at nearby Trinity Hall, one of the oldest and most beautiful of the Cambridge Colleges. The two venues complement each other perfectly for large multi-site events – the rich heritage of Trinity Hall contrasting with the contemporary interiors of WYNG Gardens.”

Kelly Vickers, Director of Meet Cambridge, said: “We are delighted to add WYNG Gardens to the portfolio of conference and events venues that we represent in and around Cambridge.  The opening of WYNG Gardens is a tremendous start to 2017, a year which promises to be our most successful to date in attracting new and return visitors to this vibrant and historic city.”

Among the WYNG Gardens project team were award winning Cambridge-based architects Freeland Rees Roberts, co-founded by Trinity Hall alumnus Tristan Rees-Roberts (1967). Trinity Hall has worked closely with the architects and award winning lighting specialists, Hoare Lea Lighting, also based in Cambridge, to create innovative and attractive interiors for this exciting new venue for residential conferences.

Trinity Hall is most grateful to the WYNG Foundation for their donation to the new WYNG Gardens building.
