The Open to Export competition final*
As part of the New Exporter Roadshow, Open to Export will be holding the regional final of their Export Plan Competition. Eight finalists will be invited to the Roadshow to pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges.

November’s competition winner got £3000 cash funding, a Yell website package worth £3000 and two free places on an Institute of Export public training course worth £700. Each of the shortlisted companies also got a year’s free small business membership with the Institute of Export, a web translation voucher from SDL Managed Translation and lots of other goodies on the day. It is anticipated that the prize package will be equally as attractive.

What is the Export Action Plan?
The Open to Export Action Plan is an intuitive online planning tool which takes you through five key steps to export success. It is simple to use and works by asking you to complete tasks and set actions, helping you to establish what you need to know and do to start selling overseas. Once you have completed the steps, you will generate an action plan which is a brilliant showpiece to take to your bank, business advisor or international trade advisor.

What is Open to Export?
Open to Export is the online community helping UK businesses get ready to sell overseas. Backed by Government and business, they are a not for profit social enterprise dedicated to helping UK companies grow through export.

How can they help?
Companies can get free online information and advice from the community on anything to do with international growth, and connect with the full spectrum of organisations providing support for exporters. Thousands of companies are using the service to connect, learn and talk about going global through our forum, webinars, guides and useful contacts.

*Entries for this competition are now closed, but you can still start your action plan now.
