Mitcham’s Corner is the area around the junction of Chesterton Road with Victoria Avenue, Victoria Road and Milton Road, just north of the river Cam. It’s home to a growing number of independents including Radmore Farm Shop, Stir, Thirsty Cambridge and Trumpington Gallery, making it a real indie destination.

(Pictured clockwise from top):
Radmore Farm Shop, a family run business, sells produce from their mixed livestock and arable farm in Northamptonshire. This fantastic shop  - recently moved round the corner from Chesterton Road to new premises at  8-10 Victoria Avenue - also sells a full range of produce from other local suppliers and farming families. Not to worry if you don’t live near the shop – order everything online and have it delivered.

Stir is a neighbourhood coffee shop and social hub for CB4. There are 100 seats inside the stunning interior and more outside. They have award-winning coffee and locally sourced food, including gluten free options. The ‘Back Room’ hosts activities including knitting groups, Pilates, yoga and toddler art.

Indie drinks shop and bar, Thirsty Cambridge, aims to do things a bit differently, with wine categorised by style rather than country and a packed schedule of social events. As well as wine, Thirsty have Hot Numbers coffee, ciders and craft beer in bottles and litre and two-litre ‘growler’ refills.

Founded in 1975 in Trumpington and now based in a beautiful former Victorian bakery on Mitcham’s Corner, Trumpington Gallery offers picture frame design and making, fine art conservation and restoration, frame restoration and collection management. Highly regarded as specialists in their work, they’re always happy to offer advice on any matters relating to art.
