Matthew Russell became a full time apprentice with Analytik in June 2015 while studying Level 3 Business Administration at The College of Animal Welfare, Godmanchester. This is in contrast to more typical apprenticeships where usually the apprentice will go on day release to college.
This successful collaboration between Analytik and The College of Animal Welfare has provided Matt with great experience and opportunities to study different aspects of operating the business while making direct contributions to Analytik.
Speaking about finishing his course, Matthew says “Completing this apprenticeship through Analytik has not only given me a huge insight to business as a whole, it has provided me with many opportunities including going on demonstrations visits, attending workshops and generally being given as many working responsibilities as possible. These opportunities and responsibilities have allowed me to develop personally, professionally and also helped bring new ideas to the business. Gaining this qualification and experience through Analytik has helped me lay the foundations to start my career and I can’t thank Analytik enough for the support that I have received throughout the whole process.”
Analytik’s MD Ian Laidlaw adds to the story “Modern apprenticeships are a two-way street, they provide mutual benefits for both the company and the individual apprentice. A hands-on experience helps apprentices to build knowledge and develop new skills which they can put into practice in a real workplace. We are very pleased with Matt’s achievements during his time at Analytik, he has been involved in many aspects of business operations and has made significant contributions to our administration, sales and marketing development”.
Analytik thanks Matt for his great work and wish him all the best for his future career.
