The event on Saturday 24 June, from 7pm until late, will feature live music from 1920s vocal trio the Wild Tonics – who describe their sound as “big, sexy and unpredictable” -  as well as an auction.

It will be the first charity fundraiser at the exclusive wedding venue since it was relaunched under new ownership last year.

Angela Ashman, Swynford Manor General Manger, said: “Business has been booming at this fantastic venue and we’re now looking to give back to a good cause which does vital work in our surrounding communities.

“We have an evening of awesomely glamorous entertainment planned and can’t wait to welcome guests. Please get your friends and colleagues together and come along!”

Set in seven acres of lawns and paddocks, the 18th century Swynford Manor, off London Road in Six Mile Bottom, near Newmarket, features 13 guest rooms and event rooms fit for every occasion.

Victoria Matthews, EACH Suffolk Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We’re really excited at the prospect of seeing this stunning manor house decked out for a Gatsby-themed ball.

“The plans for this event look great and I’ve no doubt it will be a spectacular evening of food, fun and dance.

“All the money raised will help us continue providing care for children with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and support to their families.”

There are currently 827 children, young people and family members benefiting from EACH’s services, which include short-break care, end-of-life care and bereavement support. For both families accessing care and those who have been bereaved, the charity is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time.

Tickets for the ball are £65 per person and include arrival drinks, canapés and a three-course meal with wine.
