Those who have visited the Hospice or its Bistro at Great Shelford in the last few weeks will have noticed that the new venture is causing quite a buzz. The salon is open six days a week and can be found to the left of the entrance and opposite the Hospice Reception area.
Salon HD owner and hairdresser Nicola Chapman , who has also run Hair Depot at Addenbrooke's for the past 15 years, is promising a vibrant and enthusiastic service for patients and clients alike. She is offering hair appointments including cut and blow dries for men, women and children, colouring and perming, Monday to Saturday. Joining her in the salon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are nail technicians Alison and Amy who can be booked for manicures with polish or gel, gel removal, nail shaping and painting and hand and arm massage.
Nicola says: “Everybody who has visited us at Arthur Rank Hospice so far has been so kind and welcoming! We are very excited about our Grand Opening on Monday and are looking forward to seeing some new faces coming through the door. Please come along, take advantage of some of our freebies and special offers on the evening and help us spread the word among the local community.”
As well as the option to sign up to receive special offers and birthday treats, Salon HD runs a loyalty card scheme whereby on their sixth appointment, women receive a free blow dry and men receive £5 off the cost of their haircut.
Those who come along to the Grand Opening will be given a 10% discount vouchers and offered skin tests for colouring, as well as the option to receive a fringe trims from Nicola or a 5 minute hand massage from Alison or Amy, free of charge.
There will also be a chance to win £50 or £30 worth of L’Oreal products in a raffle, with tickets costing £2, raising funds for the Arthur Rank Hospice.
