Joining shops in Histon Road and Cherry Hinton High Street is the former Hughes premises in Cherry Hinton Road, to be unveiled on Thursday 11 April.
The outlet will trade six days a week from Monday to Saturday, offering the same range of high-quality goods customers of existing EACH shops are used to.
Sarah Throssell, EACH Shop Acquisition Manager, said: “We’re delighted plans are well under way to bring our retail offering to Cherry Hinton Road. The signs are up on the new premises and we hope lots of people will recognise the EACH brand from our other shops and the work we do in the community. As usual, there’ll be a range of ladies’ clothing, a men’s department, books, bric-a-brac and more. We’re now on the look out for good-quality donations and volunteers to help this shop become successful.”
Luke Davenport, Cheffins Surveyor, said: “Cheffins acts for EACH across Cambridgeshire and has secured a lease on this prominent unit on behalf of the charity as part of its rapid expansion plans. Carrying out essential work across the region for both children and their families, we’re pleased to see EACH’s retail offering go from strength to strength and will be looking to support the charity’s growth over the coming years. The new unit is located in a busy part of southern Cambridge and is part of a well-established shopping parade, within easy reach of the city centre. The unit comprises of an open-plan retail area measuring approximately 1,000 sq ft, with a sorting room and facilities to the rear. We’re excited to see this outlet establish itself, especially as it complements the popular existing EACH retail unit on the High Street in Cherry Hinton, and it ought to attract high footfall.”
EACH’s retail portfolio is growing at a fast pace, with nine shops having opened last year. This latest one in Cherry Hinton Road will be its second of 2019 and 37th overall.
The charity welcomes donations of the following clean and good-quality goods: clothing, bric-a-brac, modern paperbacks, toys, jewellery, DVDs/CDs, household linens, retro and vintage clothes, and small electrical items. These can be dropped off at the new shop from Monday, 8 April.

To put into context the difference just a small donation to a shop can make to the vital work EACH does, here are some examples of what your donation could pay for:
- A top, skirt or pair of trousers worth £5 could pay for art supplies for a session of art therapy
- A tea set worth £11 could fund an hour of specialist play tailored to a child’s individual needs
- A nice wedding hat or jacket worth £19 could pay for an hour of vital physiotherapy
- An item of good-quality furniture or prom dress worth £24 could fund an hour with a psychologist to help guide and support families going through, likely, the toughest period of their lives
In the past financial year, EACH shops generated an impressive profit of over £1.1 million that all went towards helping families make the most of their precious time together.
