Chris Free, joint owner and designer of Mr Free Shirts, has a certain pedigree when it comes to the fashion industry. From a Camden market stall, via a vintage pop boutique with a huge celebrity following and wholesale fashion business Cinema X, Chris, along with partner Penelope Sobr, are now Cambridge-based and selling their exclusive, own-designed shirts online.

A quintessentially British label, the shirts take inspiration from the 1960s and early 1970s, using quality satin cotton and made for Mr Free by traditional shirt makers, the different designs come in sizes small to 3XL.

The Mr Free Polka Dot shirt is a pop classic in a cut and style favoured by the likes of The Beatles and The Stones through to The Smiths and Oasis (and being a musician too – Chris should know!). There’s also a Micro Dot shirt which is a smart work version and a Stripe design with crisp, clear lines and a dash of the late 70s New Wave about it. Then completing the range are the Paisley and Floral designs, perfect for the creative, casual type among you.
