Help launch a week long, multi-arts, soul-tickling 'feast of festivals' in Cambridge in 2018

Independent Cambridge, champion of all things independent in the city, is supporting an amazing new project called House of Cambridge on Indiegogo.

It’s an all-new festival launching in Cambridge in May 2018 that is pulling together a whole heap of existing Cambridge festivals and creators in the city, showcasing them all in one week in an incredible antique Spiegeltent that has never been to Cambridge before.

Festivals taking part include the Cambridge Jazz Festival, Cambridge Comedy Festival, Cambridge Film Festival, the Ahbab Music Festival, Cambridge Science Festival, the Festival of Ideas and the Cocktail Weekend (a cocktail festival) - and then other partners including the Cambridge Junction, Neon Moon, Green Mind Gigs, and guest curator from London - Society of the Golden Slippers.  It’s a cracking list!

The team behind it need help to get the festival off the ground and they’ve put together a crowd-funding campaign to make this happen. Will you support them too? The more interest they get on their first day, the more likely it will be to get off the ground, so please take a look now if you can: www.igg.me/at/houseofcambridge

Ever been in a Spiegeltent?

If you have, you’ll know why we want to bring it to Cambridge. If you haven’t, it’s an antique, beautiful tent that can hold up to 800 people, and has appeared at Edinburgh, London’s Southbank & Leicester Square and many other established festivals across the world. But ... it’s never been to Cambridge before, and we think it’s high time that it did.
