Howard Group joins regional leaders to debate city’s future success

Leading regional property developer and investor Howard Group has confirmed its continued involvement in property’s leading debating event when it returns to Cambridge for a third year.

Organised and chaired by the industry’s premier title Estates Gazette, Question Time will bring together the most influential leaders in the sector in Cambridge on 15 November. They will discuss high-level issues affecting growth and investment around the city’s technology and bioscience cluster and the risks and opportunities it presents.

Nicholas Bewes, chief executive at Howard Group, said: “Cambridge is one of the most dynamic cities in the UK and we are committed to helping shape and influence the city’s long-term growth and prosperity. We are focused on meeting the demand for purpose-built space for businesses in the technology and life science sectors, which remains in very short supply.

“Howard Group is delighted to be leading the conversation for the second consecutive year at Question Time alongside some of the most innovative and forward thinking businesses in our region.”

Howard Group is committed to providing suitable office and laboratory space for the city’s burgeoning life science sector. With only 1.3 years of stock left in Cambridge according to a recent report by Savills, the business has invested heavily in developing business space in the south Cambridge cluster at Sawston. A planning application has been submitted to create a new business park of 200,000 sq ft to complement and support the south Cambridgeshire technology cluster. Phase 1 will include regenerating an existing building in Sawston to provide 72,000 sq ft of high quality, mixed-use and dynamic co-working space.

Howard Group will be taking its position on the panel as the development and growth sponsors at the event at The Guildhall, Cambridge. Other sponsors include Savills, PEM, ABP, Urban & Civic, Howes Percival and Curtin & Co.

Cambridge Question Time takes place on 15 November between 8am and 11am at The Guildhall. To register as a guest for free and submit a question, visit: estatesgazette.com/QuestionTime
