The event at the 5-star Grange Tower Bridge Hotel is aimed at SQL Server data professionals responsible for ensuring their business meets the new data privacy and protection regulations. The schedule of presentations, panel discussions and workshops will demonstrate how reliable, repeatable processes can be implemented to ensure the protection of sensitive information across SQL Server estates.
Importantly, the Summit features a range of experts from the data governance field as well as SQL Server. For example, Caroline Carruthers, Group Director of Data Management at Lowell Group and co-author of The Chief Data Officer’s Playbook, will talk in the closing keynote about how everything we do is now fueled by data and information. Meanwhile, Steve Jones, Editor of SQLServerCentral.com, the online SQL Server community of nearly two million professionals, will share advice on implementing compliant DevOps strategies.

In just one day, the Summit will show the audience of Database Administrators, CIOs, CTOs, Data Protection Officers and Heads of IT how the privacy by design and by default requirement of the GDPR can be met by including the database in DevOps processes.
They’ll learn how to create a durable a living record of their SQL Server estate which can be used to maintain GDPR-compliant processes, and discover how to minimize the impact of data breaches while still ensuring reliable data is available for development and testing.
