The Business Plan Writing Workshop on Wednesday 12 September 2018, kindly hosted at Eagle Labs (7-8 Clifton Court, Cherry Hinton Road, CB1 7BN), is intended to take you through the process of producing an effective business plan. You may be looking to secure a loan, attract investment, demonstrate the viability and potential of your business idea, or simply develop a plan for how you will achieve your business vision and goals.
The focus is on the plan rather than the planning – who the audience is, what to put in and what to leave out, how to get your message across clearly and concisely, how to avoid the common pitfalls and how to adapt style, tone and format to meet your specific needs and objectives.
By the end of the programme you will:
- Understand what a business plan is and what it’s for
- Understand who you are writing for and what they need/expect from a business plan
- Understand the key questions the business plan needs to address
- Understand the typical shortcomings and how to avoid them
- Know what to put in and what to leave out
- Know how to adapt style, tone and format to meet your needs and objectives and those of your audience
- Be able to document your business plan in a clear, concise and accurate way
