dB Broadcast adds to engineering team

UK leading system integrator dB Broadcast has added a new member to its Engineering team. Oliver Allgood joins the company in a Project Management role with immediate effect.

Oliver will benefit from the company’s strong training ethos: he will report into Graham Pearl, Engineering Director, and initially spend time in Sales & Marketing, before becoming more involved in managing projects within the Engineering department.

This is a new approach for dB Broadcast, and it is expected that Oliver’s training will extend to three years on a journey to become a key member of the Engineering team.

Since graduating from The University of Salford in 2015, Oliver’s first placement was Technical Support Consultant at Black Magic Design, where he offered frontline technical support to customers in Europe, Middle East & Africa.

From here Oliver worked as a Media Management Operator for Red Bee Media in Salford, being a part of the migration team from the BBC’s old playout and TX chain to new broadcast operations, an area in which dB has been especially active.

“We warmly welcome Oliver to the dB team”, said Tom Swan, Sales and Marketing Director. “His skills will be put to good use in providing even stronger client support in the future.”

Last month, dB Broadcast appeared in the top 20 companies nationally in the annual Sunday Times Tech Track 100 listing.
