The ALA was founded in 1975 for top professionals serving rural businesses including lawyers, surveyors, accountants, bankers and farm business consultants. It is now the UK’s premier independent cross-disciplinary organisation with members including some of the leading practitioners in rural affairs in the UK and Europe.
Emily Pumfrey heads up the Agriculture and Rural Business team at Greenwoods GRM. She specialises in farm acquisitions and disposals, agricultural tenancies, and commercial investment matters within the agriculture sector. Emily’s farming background enables her to deal with such issues in the sector in a practical and informative manner.
The Fellowship of the ALA awards professionals who attend the advanced training course and pass a written examination – a badge of excellence as a way of distinguishing themselves as Fellows of the ALA.
