Located in pretty Sussex Street, Cambridge Framing Centre has been part of the Cambridge high street scene for over 20 years and is a classic example of what indies do best – a unique offering, backed-up with incredible service and super strong relationships with their customers. Bespoke framing orders are sent to the Centre’s workshop based in Norwich, where they have specialist state of the art equipment and lots of space for making even the biggest of frames. For a quick turnaround, smaller artworks can be fitted in the Cambridge store. Specialist conservation framing work is also undertaken by their GCF qualified framer using UV-protective glass, specialist moisture-resistant backing board, and acid-free mounts.
Alongside the bespoke framing is a fantastic range of ready-made frames – from ornate, wood or aluminium finish through to simple clip style – and is a less-expensive option when it comes to framing. There’s also undoubtably the best choice of mirrors you will find anywhere in Cambridge. Traditional mirror styles sell well but so too do the more contemporary looks such as their super cute convex mirrors, birdcage mirrors and wonderfully quirky duck leg mirror.
