A practical guide to responsive risk management (balancing a proactive vs reactive approach)
In our third webinar, Steve Iddon of Marshall Centre will provide a simple guide to effective risk management.
Steve says: “Volatility and uncertainty in our working lives are now the new norm. 2020 is only 3 months old and we have already had extreme weather (flooding in the UK and fires in Australia for example), Brexit, threats of World War 3 and of course now COVID-19. Each of these events is going to have a wide ranging and as yet not entirely clear impact on our working lives.
Risk Management focuses on identifying, prioritising and planning for uncertainty – it’s goal is to minimise potential threats to your business and maximise positive opportunities. Organisations that manage risk and uncertainty in volatile times and take advantage of opportunities are the ones most likely to survive and thrive. This webinar is designed to provide a simple and practical guide to effective risk management.”
Webinar objectives:
-
To identify a practical and responsive risk management process
-
To recognise risk as both threats (negative impact) and opportunities (positive impact)
-
To explore a range of ways of identifying, prioritising and planning for risk
The session will take place at 2pm - 3pm on Wednesday 1st April. Please sign up to take part! Participants will be sent a link to join via Zoom prior to the start time.
