As a part of the acquisition deal, NVIDIA will build on Arm’s R&D presence in the UK, establishing the Centre at Arm’s Cambridge campus. The plans for an Arm-powered AI supercomputer, training facilities for developers and a startup incubator have the potential to attract world-class research talent and create a platform for innovation and industry partnerships in fields such as healthcare, robotics and self-driving cars.
Cambridge Network welcomes NVIDIA as a new member and is grateful to David Hogan for giving this talk and Q&A session.
About the speaker: David Hogan leads NVIDIA’s Enterprise sales organisation which supports major customers adopting AI. The team covers many market verticals from Automotive to Financial Services to Oil & Gas to Healthcare. David also supports National Governments in developing their strategies for AI from technology to skills.
About NVIDIA: NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world.
