In the UK, the League is supported by the IET and delivered by teams of volunteers across the country. A local team, the Cambourne Electronics and Robotics Club (CERC) with over 6500 students, has an impressive record in the competition and has won the Cambridgeshire heat of the annual event 5 times.
In this talk, Dr. Sujit Bhattacharya, will explain the objectives of the First Lego League and tell us about the CERC and its successes in the competition. He will describe the Club's activities, its challenges and the positive impact it has had on students and society. On its journey to excellence in STEM it has become one of the largest clubs in the UK and has given an opportunity for many to join and contribute to a brighter future.
