The Christmas Quiz has long been a highlight of the Cambridge games scene, and for many it is a fun addition to the social festivities at the end of year.
This year, we will be generously hosted once more by our wonderful friends at Jagex, and also supported by SKC Games Studio!
As is tradition, the winning team from the 2023 quiz have stepped up to the plate to set the questions this year... yet AGAIN from Frontier!
Will someone ever stop Frontier's epic winning streak? Let's get a new name on the trophy! Join the challenge, and we'll see you on Thursday the 5th December 2024.
This is an in-person event only!
Unless there is any wild objection (please email admin@gameseden.net), we will be running the quiz as an in-person only event this year.
Friends and partners are welcome, but please no children under 18.
There will also be prizes (exact details TBC!), and of course, the winning team will be awarded and immortalised on the fabled Games Eden Quiz Trophy!
Event Schedule
- Doors at 6.30pm for food and socialising
- Quiz starts at 7.15pm
- We hope not to finish too late - aiming for around 10pm
Non-Jagex guests are welcome to use the company's car park during the event without registering their vehicle, but are not permitted to leave their vehicles behind overnight.
Quiz team information
- It is imperative that you make sure everyone in your team is registered by name for security reasons!
- Maximum of 5 players per team
There is an entry fee of -£5- per person, which will be collected on the door and donated to Special Effect - please bring cash (preferably the correct change)!
Jagex are very kindly sponsoring food and your first drink, so we are able to dontate your entry fee in full. If you would like further drinks after your first, there will be a fully stocked fridge and an honesty box to make contributions.
Please note that entry fees and the honesty box will be operated on a CASH ONLY basis, so plan accordingly as there are no cash points very nearby.
We do hate to be grouchy, but if you aren't registered, you can't come in to the studio! This is to ensure accurate numbers for catering so that everybody gets a good meal, but also to ensure security of the building. To this end, registration will close on Wednesday 4th December at 5pm.
Lastly, a reminder...
Our dear friend Covid is still doing the rounds, amongst the usual bugs we see at this time of year, and we of course want everybody to be well for Christmas.
Please do not attend the event if you feel unwell, or have recently been in close contact with somebody who has tested positive. We collect entry fees on the door, so you will not be left out of pocket by staying home.
