Midlife360 CIC is a growing social enterprise which focuses on enabling midlife women in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
We represent a community of midlife women and work with them to give the confidence, skills, and ability needed to thrive in age-positive work cultures.
Midlife360 also works with Cambridgeshire based employers to attract this often overlooked talent pool. We offer consultancy to organisations who are struggling to recruit by focusing on develop their recruitment messaging, redefining their processes and communicating their culture.
As a Social Enterprise we are passionate about adding social value wherever we work. If you are engaged with ESG or CSR, we can work with you by providing workshops and support for the communities in which you are working.
Like much of the UK, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are grappling with a skills crisis, intensified by Covid-19, Brexit, demographic changes, and rapid technological progress.
These issues have significant economic repercussions, leading to slower growth and challenges in meeting productivity and competitiveness goals. Additionally, they have profound societal impacts, such as increasing inequality and putting pressure on social services.
Simultaneously, large groups of older workers are leaving the workforce. Although the UK government has acknowledged and begun to address the skills shortage, our research indicates that it underestimates the scale of the problem, with two major challenges persisting:
- 3.5 million people are economically inactive and thus not included in unemployment statistics or monitored by the DWP.
- Government initiatives lack grassroots engagement, failing to connect with the intended audiences. Despite increased efforts, the number of beneficiaries of these initiatives is decreasing.
The RAND Europe Report on Employment and Age in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area, commissioned by Cambridge Ahead, provides deeper insights into the workforce across the six regions within the Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA).

We can help.
We support midlife women across Cambridgeshire to find their confidence, drive and good work. We offer interactive workshops on a range of topics from Confidence, the Value of Midlife, Menopause and I Am Remarkable. We also have a book club, we offer digital training badges, peer to peer support and signposting for training, coaching and other areas of support. If you are a midlife woman who wishes to return to the workplace, start your own business, or if you are considering leaving the workplace and would like to engage with likeminded women.
