The Crown Estate owns and manages land, property and the seabed across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and is aiming to redevelop the Cambridge Business Park, creating a place where innovation, communities and nature thrive. This project is based on three important pillars – the desire to be sustainable, inclusive, and innovative – and has resulted in The Crown Estate becoming Cambridge Cleantech’s latest Strategic Innovation Partnership member.
Cambridge Cleantech is an innovation network organisation that was founded 13 years ago and has a proven record of activities enabling the acceleration toward net zero. Through the experience of its team and impressive expertise of its members, Cambridge Cleantech will support the Crown Estate’s vision, reinforcing Cambridge’s reputation as a centre of excellence for cleantech and sustainability.
Cambridge Business Park sits in a strategic location central to the emerging North East Cambridge Area Action Plan, as well as being close to one of the world’s leading science and research universities. This provides a major opportunity to transform the surrounding area into a leading innovation district that contributes to local and national economic renewal.
