The barbecue seasonings and sauces packaging produced by CP Packaging, an occupier of The Epicentre, appeared on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den programme recently.
CP Packaging produces highly branded gift boxes for Birmingham-based LUMBERJAxe, run by brothers Brendan and Jaydon Manders, who were seeking and secured a £90,000 investment for 20 per cent of the company.
Kem Gokay, managing director of CP Packaging, said, “LUMBERJAxe are on a massive scale-up which has been further endorsed by their success on Dragons’ Den. This is very exciting and could be a key account for us by the end of this year and they very much have plans for us to be part of the scale up. This year, alone, CP Packaging has delivered 5,000 boxes to LUMBERJAxe,” adds ~Gokay.
Helen Earl, Centre Manager of The EpiCentre, said: “What an accolade for Kem Gokay and his team to have their products appear on Dragons’ Den.”
CP Packaging with a turnover of £3m is run by Kem and his brother Altan and was started 10 years ago. It was previously based in north London. Kem and his family moved to the village of Clare near Haverhill in 2019 and following a period of working at home during the pandemic moved to The EpiCentre in 2024.
